Flat and Bend Tempered Glass

Tempered safety glass is manufactured by uniformly heating annealed (float) glass in a furnace to temperatures of approximately 670°C–700°C, followed by rapid cooling, or quenching. This controlled process creates high compressive stresses on the glass surface and tensile stresses within its core, resulting in significantly greater strength and impact resistance than ordinary annealed glass of the same thickness.

When tempered glass breaks, the stored internal stresses cause it to fracture into relatively small, blunt-edged particles rather than large, sharp shards, significantly reducing any kind of risk and makes it safer to use anywhere.

For glass to be classified as fully tempered, the surface compressive stress must meet the applicable requirements of the international standards. Our tempered glass products are available in a range of specifications and are suitable for automotive, industrial, commercial, interior, structural, and architectural applications.

Insulated Glass

Insulating Glass Units (IGUs), commonly known as double glazing or double-pane glass, consist of two or more glass panes separated by a sealed insulating space filled with air or inert gas. This configuration helps reduce heat transfer through the glazing and improves the overall thermal performance of windows and building façades.

When combined with Low-E and/or reflective coatings, IGUs can provide enhanced thermal insulation, solar-control performance, and energy efficiency, making them suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial, architectural, and structural applications.

A common configuration for commercial buildings is 6 mm glass + 12 mm insulating space + 6 mm glass, while residential applications may use configurations such as 5 mm glass + 8 mm insulating space + 5 mm glass, depending on the required thermal, acoustic, structural, and energy-performance characteristics.

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is a type of safety glass designed to remain substantially intact when broken. It is manufactured by bonding two or more layers of glass with an interlayer, typically polyvinyl butyral (PVB). When the glass breaks, the interlayer helps hold the fractured glass together, reducing the risk of falling or scattered shards.

PVB laminated glass offers a combination of safety, structural integrity, acoustic performance, UV protection, and optical clarity, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Applications include: automotive windshields and glazing, skylights, glass façades, balustrades, partitions, glass floors, doors, and other automotive, industrial, commercial, structural, and architectural applications.
